Hermann Hörmann
|
In today's marketplace for building materials, the name
Hörmann has become synonymous with doors, gates,
frames and operators because within
these sectors the Hörmann Group is Europe's Number 1
supplier. A success story achieved through the constant
steady growth over decades of a family business against a
backdrop of
innovation, assured quality and
customer proximity.
Hörmann is already
being run by the fourth generation, namely by the
grandchildren and great grandchildren
of the company founder. The personally liable general
partners are Thomas J. Hörmann, Martin J. Hörmann as well as
Christoph Hörmann.
In his metalworking shop in Bielefeld,
August Hörmann (1886 - 1944), also produces steel doors.
Following the war, his son, Hermann (1912 - 1994),
re-establishes his father's business in Steinhagen virtually
from scratch.

In the 60s, space-saving, vertically
opening sectional doors for garages as well as industrial
